‘So much opportunity:’ New road opening to NeoCity in Osceola County

Neovation Way opens to drivers Friday

OSCEOLA COUNTY, Fla. – Leaders in Osceola County are celebrating the near-completion of a road that will provide further access to the NeoCity technology campus.

At .59 miles, Neovation Way is a two-lane divided roadway with sidewalks, a shared use trail and on-street parking.

The road will link Neptune Road to NeoCity Way and serve as a southern gateway to the nearly 500-acre campus.

“Having the back-and-forth connections, so depending on where you’re going on U.S. 192, it makes it beneficial for all the residents,” Commission Chair Cheryl Grieb said.

The $14.6 million road was built using local funding and a $6 million grant awarded by the Florida Job Growth Grant Fund.

Neovation Way also allows for continued growth and development of NeoCity.

“We have a contract already with the first 25 acres on the mixed use portion of it,” Grieb said. “So yes, you’ll see a lot more progression from here on in.”

As one of the fastest growing counties in the country, Grieb said one of Osceola’s top priorities is providing new job opportunities like the ones that are coming through NeoCity.

The hope is the completion of Neovation Way will help attract more cutting edge businesses by offering much needed infrastructure improvements.

“There’s so much opportunity and just having this road and opening up NeoCity to further development is just very exciting for us,” Grieb said.

Neovation Way is scheduled to open on Friday to drivers.
