ORLANDO, Fla. – Orange County approved $255,000 in funding for the Central Florida Diaper Bank Tuesday morning.
Sharon Lyles told News 6 she started the Central Florida Diaper Bank because at one point she was down to her last diaper when her daughter was a baby.
“There was one day in my life where I had one diaper and the adhesive strip would not stick, and I just did not want any other family to go through what I was facing. I could not afford diapers,” Lyles said.
Now, 29 years later, Sharon is able to live her passion by helping babies and toddlers in our community.

The diaper bank assists families in Orange, Lake, Seminole, Polk, and Osceola counties.
She says families spend at least $70 a month on diapers.
The Central Florida Diaper Bank is located in Winter Garden, but if you are not able to make it out to their warehouse, they have a mobile unit that heads out to community centers where you can pick them up.
“If you are a family that’s in need, please give us a call, at 407-656-7055 or visit our website for more information,” Lyles said.
Their website address is CentralFloridaDiaperBank.org.
