Osceola County Sheriff Marcos Lopez said deputies found three men with gunshot wounds at the complex.

One man, 21-year-old Jeamond Cleus, was found dead at the scene in the hallway of the apartment complex. The other man, 20-year-old Adrian Joel Gonzalez, was found in a second-floor hallway area of the apartment building and was taken to a hospital, where he later died, according to arrest records.

Officials said there were “numerous” cartridge casings, blood and several guns scattered throughout the hallway.

Investigators located blood in the doorway of an apartment later identified as belonging to Gonzalez, which had an “overwhelming odor of cannabis” and an open safe inside.

Sheriff Lopez said the third person, identified as Isaiah Bey, was found in the bushes and taken to a hospital with a gunshot wound to the leg.

Officials said Bey was in possession of a rifle which had a loaded magazine. The rifle was later found to have been stolen from Gonzalez’s apartment.

According to an arrest warrant, witnesses said the shooting appeared to be related to an armed robbery over drugs.

Ring camera video obtained during the investigation allegedly showed that Gonzalez was approached by three men wearing masks and carrying guns. Two of the men were later identified as Bey and Cleus, sheriff’s office officials said.

Deputies said Gonzalez was escorted into his apartment at gunpoint by the men and soon after, the three men exited the apartment, at which point Cleus and Gonzalez exchanged gunfire. The video also reportedly shows Gonzalez shooting down a stairwell towards Bey.

During an interview with Bey at the sheriff’s office, Bey initially stated he was taken from Daytona Beach by three unknown men and forced to participate in a home invasion, but later changed his story. Investigators said Bey then stated that he and the other men went to “conduct an armed robbery” for drugs. Bey told investigators a man named “Q” was the driver of the vehicle used to take then men to Osceola County.

Investigators said a phone number used to call Gonzalez minutes before the shooting belonged to “Q,” who Bey later identified as 26-year-old Quinton Douglas Jr.

Officials obtained a search warrant for Douglas Jr.’s cell phone. Records showed his phone was in the area of Gonzalez’s apartment at the time of the shooting and immediately left the area afterwards, investigators said.

According to the sheriff’s office, Bey admitted to stealing the rifle from Gonzalez’s apartment.

Investigators said Bey was a “violent felony offender” and on felony probation out of Volusia County and cannot be in possession of a firearm. Court records show Bey is facing a charge related to violating his probation, but no other details were released.

According to a charging affidavit, Douglas Jr. was arrested on an active warrant from Osceola County on Monday and faces charges of premeditated murder and murder while engaged in a home invasion.
