ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – Three newly constructed schools in Orange County will be opening for the 2024-25 school year.
Here’s a look at three campuses and when you can check it out:

Atwater Bay Elementary
Atwater Bay Elementary is located in the Horizon West area.
Orange County School Board members approved the name of the school on April 2. The name was chosen because it represents the street where the school is located, Atwater Bay Drive in Winter Garden. The new campus sits on 15 acres of land and will help relieve Water Spring and Panther Lake elementary schools. It can hold 841 students. The students will be known as Little Stingrays. The district is offering a sneak peek of the new school on Wednesday, July 31, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Luminary Middle School
Luminary Middle School is located in the Lake Nona area along Luminary Boulevard. The new school sits on 18 acres of land. It can hold 1,215 students. The school mascot is a wolf. A sneak peek of the new school will happen on Tuesday, Aug. 6, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Innovation High School
A new high school is also opening in the Lake Nona area. It’s called Innovation High School.
The district asked for name recommendations in fall 2023 through three online Google surveys. Suggestions were sent in from students, families, community members and OCPS employees.
The name was chosen because it is located in the Innovation Way corridor, creates a link with Innovation Middle School and it matches the schools new innovative design and programming. The students will be known as the bulls.
The school will bring much-needed relief to Lake Nona High School. It can hold 3,268 students. The district is offering a sneak peek of the new school on Saturday, Aug. 3, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
