ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – A man in his 40s was shot and killed in Orange County on Friday morning, according to a news release.
Deputies said they responded to the 7300 block of Lake Underhill Road regarding the shooting around 9 a.m.

According to the release, deputies located the man – identified as 48-year-old Steve Torruella Rodriguez – who had been shot. He was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Deputies said that all parties involved remained at the scene, and later identified the suspect as 49-year-old Pablo Rafael Lantigua Cabral.
According to the sheriff’s office, Cabral was arrested and faces a charge of second-degree murder with a firearm.
At his first appearance in court Saturday, Cabral was ordered to be held on no bond. A pre-trial detention hearing is scheduled for Aug. 16.
The shooting remains under investigation.
