ST. CLOUD, Fla. – Rebecca Laisch of St. Cloud joined me Tuesday on Trooper Steve on Patrol.
If her name happens to sound familiar, that’s because we’ve covered her story in depth.
Laisch helped students as a crossing guard for a decade until she was severely struck in 2020 at 13th Street and Michigan Avenue while on duty.
All the traffic information and safety tips I try to provide to you may sound repetitious, however, it’s those tips that I give in hopes of preventing tragic crashes like the one Laisch was involved in.
Due to that crash, Rebecca can no longer conduct her duties as a school crossing guard. She has taken her journey to the next level and has become an advocate for crossing guards.
