ORLANDO, Fla. – All this week News 6 has been covering the headlines surrounding back to school.
That also includes the older kids heading to college.
Today on Breakfast With Bridgett, Dr. Chirag Panchal, a local family doctor with Orlando Health, joined the chat to talk about “The Freshman 15″ and other health-related issues for college-aged patients.
He says setting your college kids up for a healthy lifestyle away on campus starts with healthy conversations at home about responsible lifestyle choices.
“You want to prioritize sleep, stick to a regular schedule, support your physical and mental health, support your social wellbeing too. College is a great place to make those lifelong friendships that’ll stay with you for the rest of your life,” Dr. Chirag Panchal said.
