ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – A 17-year-old boy hospitalized in critical condition after being shot Thursday night in Orange County has since died, according to the sheriff’s office.
Deputies responded around 7:20 p.m. to a shooting reported out of the 1800 block of Americana Boulevard, locating the boy who had been shot, the sheriff’s office said in a statement.
In an update shared Sunday, the sheriff’s office said that the boy — identified as Arthy Sony Cetoute — died at the hospital on Saturday.
No further details had been shared or confirmed at the time of this report.
