BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. – Brevard County deputies caught a man known as the “Philadelphia Flasher” in his home attic on Tuesday evening, according to the sheriff’s office.
In a release, deputies said the man — Steven Barrick, 57 — was spotted exposing himself and masturbating along the bike trail near Parrish Road and U.S. Highway 1.

When deputies arrived at the scene, Barrick fled on his bicycle, prompting a chase to Barrick’s nearby home, where he ran inside and climbed into his attic, the release states.
Eventually, Barrick was talked out of the attic, and he was placed under arrest, investigators announced.

However, Sheriff Wayne Ivey said Barrick has a criminal record dating back over a decade with similar exposure charges — hence his moniker.
In Brevard County, he was originally taken into custody by the sheriff’s office in 2013 on outstanding warrants out of Philadelphia while visiting relatives in Florida, Ivey added.
The sheriff’s office says in subsequent years it has arrested Barrick on charges including drug possession, loitering, battery, resisting officers, and exposure of sexual organs.
“This piece of crap goes all over Philly flashing his junk, then finds his way to our community where he gets arrested, is shipped back to Philadelphia to face charges, is let out of jail at some point up there for whatever reason, and then comes back to Brevard where he has now been arrested multiple times for violation of probation, possession of cocaine, exposure of sexual organs on four different occasions,” Ivey said. “And now, yet another charge of showing his junk to citizens!”
For his latest arrest, Barrick faces charges of exposure of sexual organs and resisting an officer without violence. He is held on a bond of $10,500 and has a court date set for Oct. 1.
