MARION COUNTY, Fla. – UPDATE: Angel Manuel Santiago Reyes, 47, has been located and is safe, according to the Marion County Sheriff’s Office.
ORIGINAL STORY: Marion County deputies are looking for a missing man with several health issues and who may be in a red motorized wheelchair.
Angel Manuel Santiago Reyes, 47, was last seen leaving his home on Larch Course in Ocala around 8:30 p.m. Thursday, the Marion County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release.
Described as 5 feet, 11 inches tall and 200 pounds with brown eyes and black hair, he was using the red wheelchair and wearing a blue T-shirt and jeans at the time, the release states.
Angel has brain lesions and multiple sclerosis, which has caused him to become confused, according to the release. He recently became lost while in the wheelchair and was found in Fruitland Park, the sheriff’s office said, adding it’s possible that he may stop at a convenience store to charge the wheelchair.
Anyone who sees Angel or has knowledge of his whereabouts is urged to call 911.
