According to an arrest affidavit, an altercation happened outside a home on Sunny Palm Drive in Daytona Beach.

When deputies located Phifer on a bike near the area, they questioned him about the altercation, the affidavit reads.

“Phifer spontaneously stated he didn’t stab anyone; however, none of the deputies on scene mentioned anything about someone being stabbed. Deputies only asked Phifer about any altercation which may have occurred earlier in the evening,” the affidavit said.

Someone inside the home where the fight occurred was able to identify Phifer as the suspect, deputies said.

Phifer faces charges of aggravated child abuse and possession of drug paraphernalia and meth.
