POLK COUNTY, Fla. – A Polk County deputy resigned after he was accused of exposing himself at a Davenport apartment complex, according to a news release.
Deputies said that 20-year-old Rodney Isaiah Williams, III was observed masturbating while completely nude in full view of a camera on Saturday.

According to the release, deputies said the incident happened in an open landing shared with other apartments.
Deputies interviewed Williams who admitted to the crime “for the thrill” before stating that he “did something stupid.”

According to the release, Williams was hired as a deputy in November 2023 and was off duty at the time of his the incident and his arrest.
“This vulgar and indecent behavior by one of our now former agency members is completely unacceptable, not to mention illegal,” Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd said. “We will never tolerate such immoral and illegal conduct. That is why he was promptly arrested.”
Williams was booked into the Polk County jail on $1,000 bond.
