ORLANDO, Fla. – Despite a one-two punch from hurricanes Helene and Milton, gas prices remain steady in Florida as the fuel chain recovers from storm impacts.
According to AAA, Florida gas prices averaged $3.10 per gallon on Monday, the same price as a week ago, 5 cents lower than last month and 27 cents less than last year.

A surge in demand before and after Milton contributed to temporary gasoline outages across Central Florida and along evacuation routes. However, state officials say conditions are improving. Florida’s ports and all but two gasoline terminals are back open for tanker trucks to fill up and make round-the-clock deliveries.
“Access to fuel supplies is a priority at Port Canaveral. Before and after Hurricane Milton our entire Port team worked long hours alongside our fuel terminal operators Seaport Canaveral and TransMontaigne to keep gasoline, diesel, and jet fuel rolling out to Florida communities and airports. We’re proud of our efforts and will continue to do our part to help with our State’s recovery efforts,” said Port Canaveral CEO Captain John Murray.
AAA said that 20% of gas stations in Hillsborough, Pasco and Pinellas counties do not have gasoline. Meanwhile, there are others who do have fuel, but do not have electricity to power the pumps. State reps expect 85% of Florida filling stations to have gasoline by Monday night and supplies to be back to normal by Wednesday morning.
