As for the main subject areas, the College Board said just 53% of test takers are considered “college ready” in reading and writing, down five percentage points from last year. In math, only 26% of SAT takers are considered “college ready.”

The college readiness benchmark is considered to be a 75% chance of a student earning a C or higher in the first-semester, credit-bearing college courses.

The dip is similar to the decline seen nationwide, which the board says is blamed largely on learning loss from the COVID-19 pandemic.

Of the 229,784 students from Florida who took the SAT, 108,097 designated that their score reports be sent to public and private institutions.

According to the College Board, the University of Central Florida topped the list.
