FLAGLER COUNTY, Fla. – UPDATE: The Flagler County Sheriff’s Office said Friday on social media that the case had been resolved and investigators were no longer seeking information after detectives who located the source of the blood determined that nobody was killed or injured.
The cause of the blood appears to have been related to an ATV accident, according to the sheriff’s office.

ORIGINAL STORY: The Flagler County Sheriff’s Office is seeking tips from the community after finding a “significant amount” of human blood inside a park restroom earlier this week, according to a release.
The sheriff’s office said deputies found the blood on Monday, Nov. 11, while conducting a security check at Hidden Trails Park in Daytona North.
“No individuals were found in the area at the time, and there were no immediate leads regarding the source of the blood,” the sheriff’s office said in a release.
Deputies and K-9 searched the area but did not locate anymore evidence of persons of interest.
“We are actively investigating this situation, and any information from the public could be critical to helping us determine what occurred,” Sheriff Rick Staly said in a statement. “Whatever happened could be just an accident or it could be something more serious. If you know anything or saw something suspicious at Hidden Trails Park in the Mondex on Nov. 11, please contact us immediately. You might just have the information we need to determine the source of the blood.”
