VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla. – The Volusia County Sheriff’s Office responded Thanksgiving morning to condos near Ormond-By-The-Sea, where a man was allegedly shooting at other units.

People were warned to avoid the area of the Kingston Shores condominiums, located at 5500 Ocean Shore Blvd., where the man had shot multiple rounds outside of his condo and at neighboring condos, as well as at a sheriff’s office vehicle from inside of his condo, the agency said around 9:30 a.m. on social media.

Neighbors were evacuated and traffic was being rerouted at the time of this report, the post states, requesting that those “out for a morning walk” avoid the area while the sheriff’s office worked toward a resolution.

By around 11:30 a.m., the sheriff’s office updated its post to state the man was still shooting.

No other details had been shared or confirmed at the time of this writing.
