Were you right? It’s the City of Orlando Fire Station No. 1.
In 1885, the station was only a firefighting apparatus housed in a shed and has since moved a few times around downtown Orlando.
Moving from Magnolia Avenue and Wall Street to what is now the home of Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts on S. Magnolia Avenue, today Fire Station 1 is nestled between W. Central Boulevard and W. Pine Street.
Its fleet can be seen through its bay doors and you can even get a glimpse of its original bell from the city’s first location.
