MOUNT DORA, Fla. – Four years after a mysterious double homicide in Mount Dora, detectives are still searching for the suspect involved, according to the police department on Monday.
In a release, police said that on Nov. 30, 2020, at around 8:50 p.m., they received a report about a shooting at T & N Market, located at 1345 N. Grandview Street.
Upon arrival, police found two victims in the store with gunshot wounds, the release shows.
Those victims — identified as Minh “Tina” Nguyen, 47, and Khiem “Ken” Ba Trinh, 57 — ultimately died from their injuries, sparking a years-long investigation into who was responsible.
Investigators said they determined that the shooting stemmed from an armed robbery, where the suspect confronted Trinh and forced him back into the store as it was closing for the evening.
Both Nguyen and Trinh were shot several times, and the suspect fled on foot through the parking lot afterward, investigators added. Eventually, a customer entered the store and found the two victims, sparking a call to 911.
“Ken and Tina were beloved members of the Mount Dora community, known for their longstanding business and their presence in the Northeast Community,” the release reads. “At this time, the suspect remains at large.”

Police said they are searching for a “male suspect with a thin build,” and a $10,000 reward is being offered for information leading to an arrest.
Anyone with information related to the case is urged to contact Crimeline at 1-800-423-TIPS.
“This tragic loss has deeply impacted our community. Ken and Tina were not just business owners — they were family to so many in Mount Dora,” Police Chief Michael Gibson said. “We are committed to finding the person responsible and bringing them to justice, but we need the community’s help to make that happen. Even the smallest tip could make a difference.”
