ORLANDO, Fla. – The second of two drone shows that was set to take flight Saturday night at Lake Eola was canceled due to “technical difficulties,” city officials said on social media.
The 15-minute shows scheduled for 6:30 p.m. and 8 p.m. were described as “beautiful holiday-themed designs in the night sky.”

Officials posted about nine minutes before the 8 p.m. show to say the show was canceled and to “apologize for any inconvenience.”

“This event will feature a mesmerizing display of synchronized drones creating beautiful holiday-themed designs in the night sky with colorful LED lights. The illuminated drones will transform the park into a magical wonderland for all to enjoy,” the city said.

There is also a holiday market at Lake Eola from 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. on the east side of the park. Local vendors are set up in the market to sell different products, such as soaps, candles, jewelry and other products.
“Spread cheer by shopping locally at the Merry Market. Embrace the magic of the season at Eola Wonderland. Enjoy a snow Florida wonderland at Lake Eola Park. Encounter Santa himself at the Eola House,” the city’s website reads.
There is also Christmas Tree show by E. Washington Street and N. Rosalind Avenue at various times:

- 8:45 p.m.
- 9:45 p.m.
