ORLANDO, Fla. – Just a day before an all-new holiday-themed drone show was set to debut, the world’s largest Marriott brand hotel announced its cancelation.
Sky Elements were set to do six nights of drone shows at the Orlando World Center Marriott starting Christmas Day.

On Tuesday, the resort posted on social media that all scheduled shows have been canceled.
While resort did not specify the reason for the cancelation, it comes just days after Sky Elements’ drones collided and fell into a crowd during another holiday show in downtown Orlando, during which a 7-year-old boy was injured, according to the boy’s mother.
The incident happened in the first Lake Eola show on Saturday and the second planned show was canceled the following day after what the city described as “technical difficulties.”
Both the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) announced they were launching investigations into the mishap.
According to a news release, 200 synchronized drones were to illuminate the sky above Orlando World Center Marriott’s Falls Pool, set against the backdrop of Walt Disney World.
