ORLANDO, Fla. – As the threat of a TikTok ban looms, many users are wondering how to save their content.

The U.S. Supreme Court is due to rule on a law that stipulates TikTok must be divested from its Chinese parent company ByteDance by Jan. 19 or face a ban in the U.S. over national security concerns.

Although it’s not clear what the app will look like on Sunday, some users are downloading their videos, likes, comments and other information just in case they lose all access.

According to CBS News, here are the steps to take to preserve your TikTok content. Keep in mind, however, that receiving your information could take a few days.

  1. Open your web browser and go to TikTok’s website.
  2. Log into your account by clicking the top right Log In button.
  3. Once logged in, toggle over your profile photo in the top right corner.
  4. Click Settings.
  5. In Manage Account, under the heading Data, click Download your data.
  6. In the Download TikTok Data page, you can choose what information you want to request. Pick what you’d like, for example, all data or just your own profile and posts, and choose the file format you want.
  7. Click Request Data
  8. It might ask you to verify your account.

Then, once TikTok has filled your request, you’ll have four days to download your data.

  1. When your data is ready, go back to the Download TikTok Data page and under the Download Data tab, click Download.
  2. The file will download as a zip file.

Here’s how to view your posts from the text file:

  1. Click on the zip file that downloaded to your device
  2. Click on the folder titled “Tiktok”
  3. Click on posts
  4. Open the text file
  5. Copy the link (It will not bring you to the app)
  6. Paste it into your web browser
  7. Watch your video

Good luck!
