ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – A woman is suing the Orange County school district, claiming her 9-year-old son was sexually assaulted in a bathroom at Chickasaw Elementary School in 2022.
According to the lawsuit, the boy was using the bathroom when a fellow student entered his stall.

At that time, the other student forced himself upon the boy — despite pleas not to do so — and threatened to stab the boy if he didn’t let the other student touch him, the lawsuit says.
Eventually, a teacher walked in, and the other student crawled into a stall next to the boy’s with his pants down, court records show.

“Chicksaw (sic) Elementary School’s negligent supervision of (the 9-year-old boy) caused and contributed to this horrendous act of sexual violence by (his fellow student),” the lawsuit reads.
As a result of the incident, the lawsuit accuses Orange County Public Schools of negligence and failing to keep the boy from harm, seeking damages of over $50,000 in compensation.
When asked for comment, OCPS replied in a statement: “The Office of Legal Services has not been served with any complaint. Also, the district does not comment on pending or potential litigation.”
