VIDEO: Bear heads back to school, wanders into classroom

No one was injured

PINE MOUNTAIN CLUB, Calif. – A California teacher has quite the story to share with her students when they go back to school.

Elaine Salmon said had been setting up her classroom when she encountered a bear.

“When I came back (to the classroom), I opened my classroom door and there was this bear charging toward the door,” she said.

She said she quickly shut the door, locking the animal inside.

Salmon then called her husband and the pair were able to get the bear to run out of the door.

No one was injured, but the bear did some damage to one of the classroom’s earthquake kits that had some snacks inside.
