PALM BAY, Fla. – Palm Bay police arrested a trio of teenagers suspected in several vehicle burglaries over the weekend.

Officers said that 17-year-old Camry Hill, the oldest of those arrested, was known to Palm Bay Police Department from past burglaries. On Saturday, police were surveilling Hill and his suspected accomplices before making the arrest, News 6 partner Florida Today reported.

Along with a 14-year-old and a 15-year-old, Hill led the team in the area of Palm Place Drive where they attempted to get into multiple cars, police reports state.

One of the suspects would act as a lookout while the other two would attempt to break into the cars, police said. All of the vehicles targeted on Saturday night were locked, according to police.

After a short foot pursuit, officers with the special operations and patrol division tasked with investigating vehicle burglaries took the three teenagers into custody.

"This enforcement initiative would not have been a success without the cooperation from our citizens," Sgt. Cliff Graves said. "I just want to thank all the citizens for locking their vehicles. All the vehicles that the juveniles attempted to get into on this night were locked."
