HAVANA, Fla. – Gov. Ron DeSantis held a news conference Tuesday at a magnet school in the Florida Panhandle to tout infrastructure money coming to Gadsden County.
The event was held at Havana Magnet School in Havana, north of Tallahassee.

At the event, DeSantis announced $9 million for infrastructure projects and improvements to community facilities.
DeSantis was joined by Department of Economic Opportunity Secretary Dane Eagle, but the specific topic of conversation has not been released.
The news conference comes a day after the Republican governor announced the $100 million Hometown Heroes initiative, a program that will assist Floridians in over 50 professions buy their first homes, during a news conference at the Cape Coral Police Department.
