HOUSTON – The four people preparing to launch onboard NASA and SpaceX’s Crew-8 mission are preparing to speak ahead of their scheduled flight next month, NASA announced.
NASA astronauts Matthew Dominick, Michael Barratt, Jeanette Epps and Alexander Grebenkin of Roscosmos will attend a news conference Thursday at Johnson Space Center in Houston.

The Crew-8 mission, targeted to launch in mid-February, will take off from Launch Complex 39A at Kennedy Space Center on SpaceX’s eighth crew rotation mission for NASA. The launch will utilize SpaceX hardware, such as a Falcon 9 rocket and Crew Dragon Endeavor capsule.
Dominick will serve as commander for Crew-8, his first spaceflight after being selected as an astronaut in 2017, NASA said in a news release.

Barratt will serve as the Crew-8 mission pilot, astronaut Epps will serve as mission specialist and Roscosmos cosmonaut Grebenkin will serve as a flight engineer.
During Thursday’s press conference, NASA astronaut Tracy C. Dyson will also participate in the discussion. The agency said she is scheduled to launch to the space station on the Soyuz MS-25 spacecraft on March 21 in Kazakhstan.
Thursday’s mission overview news conference will begin at 1 p.m. with the crew news conference starting at 2:30 p.m.
NASA said the news conferences will be available to watch via the NASA TV platforms.
