SpaceX aims for Election Day rocket launch from Florida’s Space Coast

BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. – The rockets will literally red glare on Tuesday as SpaceX is set for an Election Day launch from Florida’s Space Coast.

The Falcon 9 rocket carrying 23 Starlink satellites will lift off from Space Launch Complex 40 (SLC-40) at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station.

Liftoff is targeted for 4:27 p.m. with backup opportunities available until 8:05 p.m., according to the space agency.

SpaceX said this will be the third flight for the first-stage booster supporting this mission, which previously launched Crew-9 and one Starlink mission.

Following stage separation, the first stage will land on the Just Read the Instructions droneship, which will be stationed in the Atlantic Ocean.
