Happy new year!

Hi, friends! It’s Brenda, back in your inbox for all the Central Florida Happenings.

There’s a lot to look forward to when a new year begins. What are you most looking forward to?! Let me know.

I have a few trips in the works and overall, I just have a lot of hope for this year! So I’m excited to see how everything turns out.

Enough about that, though. Let’s get into what’s happening ⤵️

New year means a whole year full of events, festivals and other fun happenings.

🐸 From crazy things like frog leg festivals to concerts to Scottish Highland Games, there is something to enjoy any month this year.

I put together a whole list of some of the big events (and if you think something should be added, drop me a note!).

And speaking of big events of the year, the Brevard Renaissance Fair is back starting this weekend.

The fair encompasses all types of entertainment, including “Saturday Knight Concerts,” a pub crawl, beer tasting and “Randal’s Grand Adventure.”

🏴‍☠️ Plus, each weekend has its own theme, bringing a new flare to the fair.

📅 Honor Martin Luther King Jr. with these Central Florida events: While MLK Day is not until Jan. 15, there are still some events happening this weekend to honor the life and legacy of Martin Luther King Jr. Click here for a look.

📽️ Saint Augustine Film Festival: Here’s what’s playing: – Those of you craving an indie film or two can get your fill at the Saint Augustine Film Festival in America’s oldest city. The festival begins next week, but I wanted to put it on your radar now so you can plan ahead if you are interested! Here’s the full list of films.

Hope you all have a safe and fun weekend!

I’ll catch you all next week.
