ORLANDO, Fla. – Hey insiders, it’s meteorologist Candace Campos. I am not sure about you but I feel like the weather whiplash lately has been throwing my immune system haywire! Swinging from 30s to 70 back to 30s is NOT what the doctor has ordered, but Mother Nature doesn’t seem to care! And it looks like the rollercoaster temperature ride will continue through the next few days as we could see the coldest temperatures of the season so far by this weekend.

Cough, cough, Is the cold weather the blame for getting sick? 🤒
It seems that everyone is getting sick around you during the winter months, but is there really a link between the colder weather and getting sick?
Hey everyone, meteorologist Michelle Morgan here asking if the cold weather actually plays a part in people getting sick?
Believe it or not, the colder weather does play a part, but there are other factors.

We talked at length over the summer and then right before fall that this winter was going to be “crazy different.” So far it has been and will likely continue to be weird.

🌩️ Lightning is a year-round hazard⚡
Cold front after cold front this winter has been bringing more than just rain. Lightning has been plentiful too! Hey there, Insiders! It’s meteorologist Samara Cokinos.
During the winter a lot of people don’t think too much about lightning because oftentimes we are indoors. However, the storms rolling through this winter have been packing a lot of lightning.
Last year 13 people died after being struck by lightning, four of those happened in Florida.
