☀️A sunny prelude to rain’s reign🌧️

ORLANDO, Fla. – Hey Insiders and it’s meteorologist Michelle Morgan here talking about some beneficial rain heading our way before a nice spring warm-up into the weekend. The official start to the transitional season (spring) was on Tuesday, March 19th and it was a cooler than normal day.

It didn’t feel like spring at all but I don’t think anyone was complaining about the cool but comfortable weather.

Even though we’re treated to another pleasant day on Thursday, the weather changes on Friday meaning rain on the way.

After Friday’s rain, the weekend looks great for any outdoor activities. If you’re planning on doing any gardening, News 6 anchor and Insider Guide Crystal Moyer went to Leu Gardens to speak with expert gardeners for some tips, tricks and household hacks to keep your plants thriving.

Spring time means the warmer days return, tourists flock to the Sunshine State for Spring Break, and the wildlife encounters become more frequent!

The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission keeps residents on their toes with reminders of what could be moving right in your backyard so that you and the animal stay safe. Oh- did I mention bat maternity season?

🌊La Nina Coming On Strong🌊

But we were just talking about El Nino. What’s going on, guys meteorologist Jonathan Kegges with you. And you would be right, however La Nina unfortunately decided that it was missing out and decided to make a comeback. I say unfortunately because that typically means a more active hurricane season.

Current sea surface temperature anomaly for the equatorial Pacific.

I looked at La Nina years from that past that immediately followed a strong El Nino, like what we had last season, and found some interesting trends. Take a look.
