Hitting up a theme park is such an off-day activity in Central Florida.

Hi, theme park appreciators, it’s me, Haley. Your newsletter is back and stacked with theme park news.

I went to LEGOLAND Florida for both work and pleasure a week ago (hence why I had to forgo last week’s In the Loop edition). It had been a while since I visited and I had the opportunity to preview the resort’s Summer Brick Party.

The face my 6-month-old son made when handed this LEGO Shark Suit Guy plush sums up the day.

Walt Disney World

Good vibes and gumbo ⚜

From clothes to home goods, tasty treats and more, there’s something for everyone. (Disney Parks)

When you’re opening an attraction that’s about a Mardi Gras party, it calls for whole other celebration for a celebration, right?

Walt Disney World rolled out a menu and merchandise line inspired by Tiana’s Bayou Adventure — gumbo, beignets and swag that’s the bees knees.

Both the food and merchandise will be available on June 28, the same day as the attraction’s opening.

Consider this a Tiana tease because you can expect to hear a lot more about the attraction on News 6 and on ClickOrlando.com in the coming days.

Even though LEGOLAND Florida is geared toward the little ones, it’s built for all ages.

I visited the Winter Haven park the day before the official kickoff of their Summer Brick Party. Highlights include a skateboard stunt show, LEGO characters and a water ski show that gives you the vibes of the old days of Cypress Gardens. Taking a moment to stop and admire scenic Lake Eloise is worth it too.

Also, don’t sleep on the food at LEGOLAND. I was definitely impressed with their Summer Brick Party menu.

LEGOLAND Florida Resort Executive Chef showed me how their Piña Colada Paradise is made as well as their watermelon bliss cone. More photos and videos can be found here. There are some tasty savory options too.

While at the park, don’t forget to roll into the new LEGO Ferrari Build and Race attraction. If you’ve never sat in the driver’s seat of Ferarri, now’s your chance.

🎃 Bricking news: LEGOLAND’s Halloween event is returning

Brick-or-Treat at Legoland Florida Resort (WKMG)

LEGOLAND Florida didn’t waste any time following the kickoff of their Summer Brick Party to talk about the next big seasonal event.

Brick-or-Treat Presents Monster Party starts in September and will run on select weekends.

Plan out those family costumes and get those tickets here.

Universal Orlando Resort

Try to contain your screams at this Halloween Horror Nights haunted house 🤫

"A Quiet Place" comes to life as an All-New Halloween Horror Nights haunted house at Universal Orlando Resort. (Universal Orlando Resort)

Alas, we finally have our first IP house for Halloween Horror Nights 33.

We can be loud about the news now, but when it’s time to enter the “A Quiet Place” haunted house in the fall, it will likely be hard to stay silent.

It sounds like what Universal Orlando has planned will live up to the movies. For the first time, an experience will incorporate American Sign Language for the first time ever. If you’re familiar with the films, you’ll know that it plays a huge role.

Universal made several original haunted house announcements leading up to “A Quiet Place.” By the way, if you’re big into Halloween Horror Nights, you may want to consider Premium Scream Night. The price for a ticket is steep, but the park guarantees smaller crowds and shorter wait times.

Discovery Cove

“D” is for a dolphin’s name 🐬

We all love giving out names and Discovery Cove needs our help.

The luxury resort recently welcomed a dolphin calf and she needs a name. There are five “D” names to choose from and voting ends Sunday. I suggest clicking on the video attached at the end of this web story so you can see which name matches her personality.

If you head out to the parks this summer, don’t forget to post those photos to our PinIt! page, especially if you check out new attractions and experiences.

As always, feel free to keep me in the loop through my email or reach out to me on my X or Instagram.

See you next week.
