Kicking Rainy Season into High Gearβ˜‚οΈ

Hey insiders, its Chief Meteorologist Candace Campos here! How much rain have you seen lately? Have you been able to pause your watering schedule? I am happy to save some money of that water bill finally!

It looks like the rainy season has really kicked into high gear lately with tons of rain almost daily for us here in Central Florida. After a little lull with the arrival of some drier air, the unsettled weather pattern will return soon. Click here to read more on your local forecast.

While some areas have seen beneficial rain, some areas haven’t seen much. Click here to see how our rain totals differ in some counties and a look at our recent drought update.

Loving The Quiet Stretch In The Tropics

Knock. On. Wood. Meteorologist Jonathan Kegges with you. After Beryl, the tropics went into a deep slumber. While a lot of people on the internet are asking how can this be with the extremely active season predicted, this is actually pretty normal.

I ALWAYS say if you’re looking to book a Caribbean cruise in hurricane season your best bet, climatologically speaking, is during the second and third week of July. Now, it won’t always work like this, but more often than not it’s pretty quiet.

The season is currently transitioning between the homegrown storms, Beryl was the rare exception developing way east, to the more long-track storms that originate from Africa and take FOREVER to cross the ocean.

This is a great time to make sure you are prepared for the flurry of tropical activity likely to follow once August arrives.

More than 80% of the season occurs beyond the middle of August so it’s not a time to get complacent.

β€œTwisters” unveiled to Central Florida meteorologists πŸŒͺ️

If you’re anything like me and many of my fellow meteorologists and weather enthusiasts, the 1996 movie β€œTwister” was probably one of the most gripping films ever.

Recently, my colleagues and I had the opportunity to preview the new β€œTwisters” movie, set to hit theaters on July 19, 2024.

Hi everyone, this is meteorologist Michelle Morgan, and I’m excited to share my thoughts on this exciting new film. But the big question remains: how accurate is it from a meteorological perspective? Click here to discover more and read our reviews.

Just Call Moe Celebrity Bowl-o-Rama Raises $16,000 for Rosie’s Adventures

Hey Insiders, it’s meteorologist Julie Broughton with my inaugural appearance in our Pinpoint Weather Newsletter! Last weekend Ginger, Matt, Trooper Steve and I beat the heat in a nice, cool bowling alley.

The event raised money for a local non-profit with a mission to bring joy and comfort to pediatric cancer patients in Central Florida. Read more about Rosie’s Adventures and how you can help honor the memory of a brave little girl.
