Are witches superstitious on Friday the 13th?
Hello, my troupe of followers, it’s Haley, back with another edition of In the Loop: Theme Park Scoop.

As someone who has visited SeaWorld Orlando countless times, I had yet to experience the park’s separate ticket Halloween event until recently. If you don’t have a Halloween Horror Nights-sized budget, Howl-O-Scream is a better option. An add-on like a Front of the Line Fear pass might not break the bank either.
I thought the Howl-O-Scream scare actors were more go-getting compared to HHN, so that’s something to keep in mind if you value an intense fright. Keep in mind that some of the houses are indoor-outdoor, so rain might impact the evening. It did with mine.
I particularly enjoyed Farm 51 house. As someone from Indiana, I felt right at home on a haunted farm. I’m also partial to the Seeds of the Coven scare zone because the coven paid a visit to News 6.
Meteorologist Samara Cokinos — who has a keen photographer’s eye — took photos of the scare zone during the event.

Universal Orlando
Pink goes good with green💗💚
Seeing that “Wicked” has been wildly talked about this year and it’s a Universal Pictures film, it was a given that Universal Orlando Resort was going to promote it somehow.
Fans of the successful Broadway show about the Witches of Oz who are now excited about the movie will be happy to know that Wicked: The Experience is coming to Universal CityWalk. Between the merchandise designed by MinaLima and the food offerings, I am absolutely bewitched by Wicked.
More in store at CityWalk 🍺
The new “Wicked”-themed store isn’t the only retail change at Universal CityWalk.
This week, Universal Orlando Resort announced plans to expand its flagship Universal Studios Store at Universal CityWalk. There will be another place to shop for Super Nintendo World merchandise as well as The Wizarding World of Harry Potter — Ministry of Magic.
For the first time, guests won’t have to venture inside Universal Studios or Islands of Adventure to sip on Butterbeer, as this store will have a dedicated counter.
Walt Disney World
No more swimming 🐬
In the “Magic of Disney’s Animal Kingdom” on Disney+, you get to know animals at Disney World by their name. So when Disney World announced that Lou was leaving EPCOT’s The Seas with Nemo & Friends, I knew exactly who they were talking about.
Due to infrastructure plans for the attraction and recommendations by the Manatee Rehabilitation Partnership (MRP) and the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Services (USFWS), Disney announced that it’s moving Lou to another aquarium in Florida and will get another sea cow in return.
Lou isn’t the only one leaving. All three dolphins are getting permanently relocated in October.
Celebrating Hispanic Heritage 🌮
A great way to celebrate any occasion is through food and National Hispanic Heritage Month is something I look forward to.
From Sept. 15 through Oct. 15, Disney World will be offering a selection of food and beverages resort-wide. Spending extra time in the Mexico Pavillion at EPCOT is worthwhile too. If you’re traveling around the world, I always suggest going clockwise and starting in Mexico.
Island H20
Tailgate on the water 🏈
Summer definitely does not end in Florida by the time football season starts and Island H20 wants you to watch the big game in the comfort and coolness of their lagoon.
Every weekend in September and October, the Kissimmee waterpark will have Tailgate Weekends, where you can watch your team on a jumbotron.
News 6 Insiders have the chance to enjoy Island H20 with unlimited visits. Click here to enter to win four season passes.
That’s a wrap.
