Hey, Pinpoint Weather Insiders, itās Chief Meteorologist Candace Campos here. I wish I could say that the first fall weekend will feel like fall... but that would be āwish-castingā instead of āforecastingā.
But to be honest, after the tropical wallop this week from Hurricane Helene, a normal end-of-September weekend doesnāt sound too bad.

As Helene moves through Kentucky and Tennessee, we can all breathe easier and be thankful it didnāt significantly affect Central Florida.

Hurricane Helene was a massive storm and unfortunately brought devastating conditions to the Big Bend area on Thursday.
It was the third hurricane to hit this region in just 13 months, following Hurricane Idalia in August 2023 and Hurricane Debby in August 2024.
