Nearing normal for November 🌀🍂
I don’t know about you, but I am ready for temperatures to cool down and for all this tropics talk to be over already!
Hey, Pinpoint Weather Insiders, it’s Chief Meteorologist Candace Campos here.
Now while we are getting some cooler weather for the weekend, we are also talking about a developing system in the Caribbean... AGAIN!
We are awaiting the arrival of a stronger cold front early Friday morning that will be ushering in some fantastic weather.

By next week, all eyes remain on the tropics.
As Tropical Storm Sara moves from the Caribbean and into the Gulf of Mexico, there is still plenty of uncertainty on what this storm could look like as it approaches Florida. Click here for a breakdown of what we know.
We’re all ready for the cooler weather! 😎
As chief meteorologist Candace Campos said, we’re all ready for a cool down across Central Florida.
Great to have you along for our latest rendition of the newsletter, I’m News 6 Meteorologist David Nazario. We’re going against the grain today and not talking tropics.
No, we’re actually going to focus on the first of a few fairly potent fronts coming down through the southeast United States and our viewing area.
Today, I’m sure you noticed we’re already starting to lean towards the drier side. Humidity is already starting to come down, and winds are picking up.
Next week, we’ll be looking at some iteration of what’s currently Tropical Storm Sara. The low pressure associated with the storm will instigate yet another much stronger plunge of cold air across the Sunshine State.
So, if you think this weekend is a little chilly, brace yourselves for what’s coming next!
🍝 The role of spaghetti models in tropical forecasting🌀
Spaghetti models are used to predict the possible paths of tropical storms or hurricanes.
Meteorologists often rely on these models because there are many different possible paths to consider.
Hi, y’all, I’m Meteorologist Michelle Morgan, and today we’re talking about models, not food.
The reason these paths are called “spaghetti models” is because they simply look like cooked spaghetti noodles, either curving or swirling around.
While these models are helpful for predicting the general path of a storm, they don’t provide details about the storm’s size, strength, or potential impacts, such as flooding, storm surge, or tornado risks.
Once a tropical system strengthens into a tropical storm or hurricane, official forecasts are provided by agencies like the National Hurricane Center.
These forecasts are based on data from various models. Click here to learn more about how these models are analyzed and what each one represents.
📱How to track the tropics with the FREE Pinpoint Weather App🌀
Hopefully, Sara is the last thing out there to track this season, but if you’re into getting all of the model data, there’s a way to see it on our Pinpoint Weather App.
Meteorologist Jonathan Kegges with you. In addition to the in-depth weather analysis and forecasts we provide on the app, there are tons of weather data overlays to maximize your in-app experience.
