Retired names and what’s replacing them
Last hurricane season was rough. We all know that.

Three storms were so bad that they will never be used again. If you’re not familiar, the names of tropical systems are on a six-year rotating cycle, so we’ll see the names used last year again in 2030.
As mentioned, three of those will never be used again as they were retired this week by the World Meteorological Organization.

A tornado outbreak across the Midwest, why?

From Wednesday night to Thursday morning, the radar was buzzing with tornado warnings as intense storms tore through the Midwest.
Alerts were flying, and numerous confirmed tornado polygons were showing up.
Spring just made its grand entrance, reminding us all how unpredictable and powerful the weather can be. But why does this happen especially across the Midwest?
