Miami-Dade Fire Rescue Lt. Erika Benitez said the dog's owner was trying to keep his dog calm when firefighters arrived.
Benitez said firefighters cut the bottom portion of the fence to release pressure and freed the dog after about 10 minutes.
She said the dog had two small puncture wounds to the neck but was otherwise OK.
The owner didn't know how his dog got stuck in the fence, but he was happy to see his four-legged friend running around again.
