Many of you said border security and immigration are top issues. Others said the economy or abortion. Concerns about the state of our democracy and the wars overseas are also on voters’ minds.
Here are some of your comments so far.
I am interested in border protection. What will be done to avoid people coming over as undocumented? I’m worried about inflation. How will interest rates be decreased? I’m interested in an increase in teachers’ salaries. What will be done to start supporting teachers and their safety?

We are going to take these remarks and ask candidates about these issues and where they stand over the next few months.
We want to hear more from you, especially when it comes to local issues. What issues matter to you in your community? How are your roads? How are your schools? What are your big concerns? Where would you like to see local officials (county commissioners, city officials, school board members, Florida representatives and senators) spend your tax dollars?
So please, take a moment to fill out the form below and tell us what issues matter to you, what problems you want lawmakers to solve if they win their elections and how that will inform your vote in November.
We will use your responses to guide how we talk to candidates over the next few months.
Please get as specific as you can. When you say the economy matters to you, what specifically? Is it unemployment? Is it inflation? Is it wages?
When you say health care, is it the cost of insurance? Is it trouble finding a provider, is it quality of care?
When you say education, do you mean what’s being taught in class? Or the teacher shortage? Or the condition of schools?
Also, feel free to share your election questions. We’ll try to answer them.
