The start of a new school year school year is an exciting time for children, parents and guardians. The anticipation of new friends, new schools and new clothes is often mixed with a great need for planning as life gets hectic.
Not only do you have to gather all the school supplies for the year, but you also face the challenge of staying organized as the school year continues
That’s why Orange County Library Systems System’s virtual event, Organizing for Student Success facilitated by Certified Professional Organizer Jane Cole, is a must. Cole has been a professional organizer for 23 years, so she knows a thing or two about organizing.
This session will not only help students stay organized throughout the year, but parents and guardians, too. As a former teacher, she provides a behind-the-scenes look and insider tips to help students and parents stay on track.
When you sign up for Organizing for Student Success, Cole said you’ll learn things like time management, study spaces, foundations of organizing and how parents can be organized to help their children be successful.
Cole has tips for elementary and middle school students in addition to an organizing program designed specifically for high schoolers.
She encourages students and parents to use these tips and practices at the very beginning of the school year to make it easier for students to remain successful for the rest of the year.
Does this sound like something that you and your child would benefit from? The virtual event, Organizing for Student Success, takes place Monday, Aug. 8. You can sign up for the event by clicking here.
