SANFORD, Fla. – Seminole County leaders on Friday will celebrate the grand opening of a brand new sports complex.
The $27 million Seminole County Sports Complex is on Lake Mary Boulevard in Sanford.
The grand opening will kick off by hosting the United States Specialty Sports Association's Florida State Baseball Championship.
The tournament will feature 85 teams from across Florida. It runs through Sunday and is expected to draw over 4,500 visitors and generate about $656,000 in direct economic impact.
The 102-acre facility will officially open at 7 p.m. Friday.
