DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Lingering rain showers in Central Florida have prompted NASCAR to alter its race schedule once again at Daytona International Speedway.
The Xfinity Series race, initially scheduled for Saturday before being moved to Monday morning, will now begin after the Daytona 500, which is scheduled to start at 4 p.m. Monday.

In a statement, NASCAR said it expects to the Xfinity Series United Rentals 300 race to start around 9 p.m. Monday.
“Fans with Saturday grandstand tickets and admission to the Hard Rock Bet Fanzone may attend both the Daytona 500 and NASCAR Xfinity Series race,” NASCAR said. “Fans looking to buy or sell reserved seats for the Daytona 500 should visit SeatGeek, the Official Ticket Marketplace of NASCAR. Tickets are available for Monday’s event.”

A doubleheader remains on tap at Daytona International Speedway, just in reverse order from what was planned.
