ORLANDO, Fla. – Team Brazil is favored to win in the Continental Clásico when they take on the USA men’s team in Orlando Wednesday. It’s no surprise since the Brazilians have dominated soccer. They’ve won the FIFA World Cup five times.
This is a rare opportunity to see this team right here in Orlando. Attendance is also expected to be high because Brazilians have a strong presence in Central Florida.
Laiz Rodrigues, the president of the Brazilian Council says this game will have a huge economic impact.
“An economic impact not only because of the number of people using the hotels, and the stadium and the businesses in the stadium, some people will just stay a little longer for the weekend and go Disney and to the parks,” Rodrigues said.
Since this is a friendly game, also known as an exhibition, it won’t affect either of the teams’ standings.
Both teams will be wearing jerseys with rainbow colors and the #49 to remember the victims of the Pulse massacre that happened 8 years ago in Orlando.
