Stephanie Rodriguez joined News 6 as a general assignment reporter in October 2024.
She moved to Florida after spending her career in the Midwest, where she grew up.
She was born in Puerto Rico but was raised in the Chicago suburbs before graduating from Illinois State University with a degree in broadcast journalism.
She began her career in Central Illinois and then moved up north to America's Dairyland, where she would spend over four years as an anchor and reporter.
Before moving to Orlando, Stephanie was in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, where she worked at the local CBS and Telemundo affiliates. While there, she reported in English and Spanish, covering major political events, including presidential visits and the 2024 Republican National Convention.
Stephanie is an award-winning and Emmy-nominated reporter who was featured in an episode of the CBS true crime series "48 Hours" after covering a Wisconsin court case dubbed the "Eye Drop Murder Trial."
She is excited to be closer to family on the island of Puerto Rico, where she spent many summers as a child, and to use her skills as a bilingual journalist to tell the stories of Central Florida.
When she is not at work, Stephanie enjoys watching scary movies and riding her bike.
