Michelle Morgan

Meteorologist

Michelle Morgan joined the News 6 Pinpoint Weather team in May 2023 as the weekend morning meteorologist.

Before returning to her Central Florida roots, Michelle spent time in New Orleans at WWL-TV, where she embraced the local culture, savored delicious cuisine and celebrated Mardi Gras and many festivals with her family. Now back in Florida, she’s excited to forecast the state's dynamic weather.

Michelle has also won multiple awards for team coverage across the country, showcasing her dedication and skill in delivering accurate, impactful weather information.

Michelle’s passion for keeping the public safe during severe weather is at the heart of everything she does. She believes in the power of education and community service, frequently speaking at schools to teach students about meteorology, STEM careers and the importance of understanding weather and science. Whether it's a hurricane, tornado or thunderstorm, Michelle is committed to ensuring the community is well-prepared and informed.

During her time in New Orleans, Michelle covered tornadoes, floods, tropical storms and hurricanes, including the devastating Hurricane Ida. Prior to WWL, she worked in Richmond, Virginia, and Great Falls, Montana, where she forecasted everything from hurricanes and tornadoes to wildfires and chinook winds. She even experienced the Great American Eclipse in 2017 while living in Montana, when 90% of the sun was covered by the moon.

Michelle’s fascination with weather began at young age while living in Brooklyn, where snowstorms and hot summers sparked her curiosity. She turned that childhood interest into a career, earning a Bachelor of Science in Applied Meteorology from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, with a focus on research meteorology and a minor in physics.

Catch Michelle every weekend morning. Saturdays from 5 a.m. to 7 a.m. and Sundays 6 a.m. to 8 a.m. on News 6! You can also follow her on Facebook and X for more weather updates and fun!
