Robert Arnold is an Emmy award-winning investigative journalist who joined the KPRC 2 family in July 2000.
Arnold’s work covers a range of issues from immigration to the environment to exposing corruption and waste in government. Arnold’s work in these areas prompted changes in the law both locally and nationally.
Some of Arnold's work includes an investigation into how a private university's police department handled the off-campus arrest of a bike thief. His work eventually led to the Texas legislature enacting a new law that brought private university police departments under the auspices of the Texas Public Information Act.
Arnold has won more than three dozen awards for his investigative work. He is also the investigative reporter and show producer for our KPRC 2+ original docuseries The Evidence Room.
In addition to investigative reporting, Arnold has been dispatched to cover more than two dozen tropical storms and hurricanes hitting the United States and Mexico.
