ORLANDO, Fla – Guests visiting the Gran Fiesta Tour are asking the same question as Panchito and José Carioca, “Where is Donald Duck?”
This week, guests began noticing that the Donald Duck animatronic near the grand finale of the slow-moving boat ride suddenly vanished. As guests looked closer, they saw a plant with a sombrero sitting on top, instead of the famous duck.

The boat ride at EPCOT’s Mexico pavilion transports guests on a colorful adventure through some of Mexico’s famous sites and cities.
During the ride, Panchito and José, the characters that are part of the three caballeros, are searching for Donald Duck. After a bit of fun, the ride ends with the three birds together finally singing to the famous song: “The Three Caballeros.”
Now, in a surprising real-life twist, guests really are asking: ¿Dónde Está Donald Duck?
In July, the José animatronic faced a similar problem and was taken away to be fixed for a short period of time. It has since been returned.
As Panchito says in the famous song, the three caballeros are “always together,” so it’s only a matter of time before the famous duck returns back to the stage.
