SeaWorld unlocking behind-the-scenes areas during ‘Inside Look’ experience

ORLANDO, Fla. – SeaWorld Orlando is preparing to welcome back its popular “Inside Look” program.

The free, behind-the-scenes experience, offers visitors the chance to learn about the care provided to the park’s animals, as well as ongoing conservation efforts.

Happening Jan. 13-21, this fan-favorite event is included with regular park admission, providing a unique opportunity for guests to connect with SeaWorld’s dedicated animal care specialists.

“Have you ever wondered what it takes to be on the SeaWorld Rescue Team? Curious to see what the topside of a shark aquarium looks like? This unique event will take you behind the scenes and give you an inside look at what it takes to maintain a premier zoological institution like SeaWorld Orlando,” the park said on its website.

The “Inside Look” program features a range of exclusive experiences, including the following:

  1. Inside Marine Mammal Care: Visitors can gain insight into the daily care of SeaWorld’s dolphin pod, from food preparation at the fish house to poolside interactions at Dolphin Cove. Tickets for this experience must be reserved in-person and are available on a first-come, first-served basis across from Flamingo Gifts.
  2. Inside the SeaWorld Rescue Center: Learn about the dedicated professionals who work around the clock to provide life-saving care to animals in need. Discover SeaWorld’s Rescue Center’s capacity to care for hundreds of animals at any given time and the incredible impact of their efforts.
  3. Inside Coral Rescue: Join our Coral Biologists to learn more about the work we are doing to protect and preserve Florida’s Coral Reef.
  4. Inside Manta Aquarium: Get a topside view at Manta Aquarium and discover how our aquarist care for the 10 unique aquariums and more than 3,000 marine animals including corals, tropical fish, and sharks that call this aquarium home. This location is not ADA accessible.
  5. Inside Pacific Point Preserve: Explore the habitat of California sea lions and harbor seals and hear from animal care specialists who care for them daily. Hear stories and gain insights from the animal care specialists who care for them every day and learn what it takes to maintain a thriving sea lion social group. This location is not ADA accessible.
  6. Inside Shark Encounter: Get a topside view at Shark Encounter and unlock the mysteries of caring for the sharks and sawfish in SeaWorld’s 700,000-gallon shark habitat. Visit the medical pool and learn how we give annual physicals. This location is not ADA accessible.
  7. Inside Avian Research: Join our Aviculturists backstage to see our behind-the-scenes, warm-weather penguin colony. Get an insider look into a day in the life of a Magellanic Penguin.
  8. Inside Wild Arctic: Step into the back hallways that provide service access to beluga whales and harbor seals, and meet the team members who care for these incredible animals.

In addition to the exclusive experiences, SeaWorld Orlando presents special presentations and animal care specialist talks during select times throughout the day. Guests can meet members of the SeaWorld Rescue & Dive Teams, hear firsthand stories of animal rescues, and learn about the basics of diving. Animal care specialist talks cover topics such as corals, hammerhead sharks, and sawfish. Guests will also get the opportunity to hear specialty presentations before Dolphin Adventures and the Sea Lion & Otter Spotlight.

The “Inside Look” program also features the return of the Family Activity Zone, offering games, crafts, and activities for kids and families near Wild Arctic.

For those seeking an educational adventure, the “Inside Look Scavenger Hunt” invites guests to purchase a map from select SeaWorld retail locations and embark on a journey to explore the “Inside Look” locations. Completing the hunt provides an opportunity to win a special prize. Over at the Nautilus Theater, families can take part answering questions during the park’s “Seal of Fortune” show, which runs during select times of the day.

SeaWorld Orlando’s “Inside Look” program is a remarkable opportunity for guests of all ages to connect with the park’s mission of conservation and animal care. The park encourages people to arrive early, as the event is incredibly popular and well-attended.
