KENANSVILLE, Fla. – Wild Florida’s Gator Park population has grown by one size.
The wildlife and safari park announced the hatching of a rare albino alligator. Throughout the egg incubation period, Wild Florida kept the albino eggs in an incubator in a climate-controlled room under the careful watch of the Croc Squad.

“Proud to still be the only attraction in the world with a successful albino alligator breeding program,” said Wild Florida co-owner Sam Haught. “Only one hatched out of 10 eggs and it’s perfectly beautiful.”

The albino gator hatchling will make its debut at Wild Florida’s Gator Park after a month of maturity. Wild Florida said it’s nearly impossible to have albino gators reach maturity in the wild.
For now, guests can see the parents, Snowflake and Blizzard, Monday through Saturday in their exhibit or in the unique Albino Gator encounter, where you can take the role of an animal trainer and see their behaviors.
There’s no word yet on a potential name or gender for the gator.
