‘Howl-O-Sprint:’ SeaWorld sets new Halloween race for Friday, Sept. 13

ORLANDO, Fla. – Prepare yourself for an unforgettable Halloween night at SeaWorld Orlando’s inaugural Howl-O-Sprint 5K Run on Friday, Sept. 13. This unique event promises to deliver heart-pounding excitement and spine-tingling scares as participants race through the park in a nighttime terror run like no other.

As the sun sets and darkness takes over, the air will be filled with an eerie atmosphere, perfect for the brave souls ready to take on the Howl-O-Sprint 5K. The race course will lead participants through a series of haunted landscapes, including scare zones and roller coasters teeming with ghostly figures and sinister surprises.

The 5K will start just before 11:50 p.m. on Sept. 13, after the park closes, as part of SeaWorld’s annual Howl-O-Scream festival.

The night doesn’t end at the finish line. A post-race celebration awaits the courageous racers and a limited number of spectators. From midnight to 2 a.m., participants can enjoy devilishly delightful treats and electrifying live entertainment at the exclusive Siren’s Bar, making for an unforgettable Halloween experience.

Competitive runners will have the chance to outpace not only their fellow participants but also the spirits haunting the course. Awards will be given to the top three overall male and female finishers, adding a competitive edge to this event. All runners can track their finish times with the finish line clock, ensuring a memorable and thrilling challenge.

“For years, SeaWorld Orlando has been dedicated to delivering unforgettable experiences for our guests, and we continually listen to their desires for more immersive and experiential events,” said Jon Peterson, president of SeaWorld Orlando, in a news release. “Our award-winning Howl-O-Scream is the perfect backdrop to introduce the Howl-O-Sprint 5K.”

With limited spots available for 4,000 participants, those eager to take part in this unique event should register soon. Due to mature content, including scenes of violence, gore, and blood, the Howl-O-Sprint 5K Run is recommended for adults only. This event is not suitable for children.
