LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. – The arrival of fall is an exciting time at Walt Disney World.

While Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party and EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival are the most familiar fall festivities, there’s family fun all around the resort.

Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party

Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party starts on Friday, Aug. 9, and is offered on select evenings through Oct. 31, from 7 p.m. to midnight.

Below is a list of new and returning additions:

  • Strike a pose with Mickey Mouse at Town Square and Minnie Mouse at Storybook Circus in their brand-new neon spiderweb costumes.
  • Villians amuck: Keep your eyes peeled for ghoulish foes roaming Magic Kingdom. Guests are invited to embrace their inner villain at the new DescenDANCE Party, inspired by the Disney original movie “Descendants: The Rise of Red,” hosted at the Rockettower Plaza Stage in Tomorrowland.
  • For the first time during the party, Bruno from Walt Disney Animation Studios’ “Encanto” will greet guests alongside Mirabel in Fairytale Garden.
  • No tricks. Over 50 delectable themed fall and Halloween treats will be available throughout the park, with some treats being party-exclusive.
  • Guests of all ages can trick-or-treat for endless Mars candy, all while donning their cheerful, non-frightening Halloween costumes.
  • “Mickey’s Boo-To-You Halloween Parade,” which will take place a full hour earlier at 8:15 p.m., “Disney’s Not-So-Spooky Spectacular” fireworks show hosted by Jack Skellington, and the “Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular” stage show.
  • TRON Lightcycle / Run presented by Enterprise and Tiana’s Bayou Adventure will be available via standby queues. And guests will not need to join a virtual queue during parties.

Deck the fall

One of the most famous fall decorations at Walt Disney World is now available to buy at the parks.

Through Nov. 1, Main Street, U.S.A. is transformed into an autumn wonderland with Mickey Mouse Halloween Wreaths.

Disney World’s flagship culinary event runs from Aug. 29 – Nov. 23.

Get ready to sip and savor at more than 30 Global Marketplaces throughout EPCOT, Including returning favorites such as The Fry Basket, Flavors from Fire, Canada, India, and Spain.

Besides the dining, there are plenty of exciting activities for the whole family to enjoy:

  • Emile’s Fromage Montage: Guests can purchase five different items from a list of qualifying cheese dishes available at select Global Marketplaces and collect a special stamp from each location they visit. Then, guests can head to Shimmering Sips hosted by CORKCICLE to redeem a sweet treat unique to the festival.
  • Remy’s Ratatouille Hide & Squeak: Kids of all ages can take part in a savory scavenger hunt around the festival. To participate, guests can purchase a map and stickers from select festival merchandise locations and then explore EPCOT to find Remy statuettes to match their stickers to the map. Once their search is complete, guests can return their map to redemption locations in the park to receive a festival keepsake.
  • Eat to the Beat Concert Series: Presented by Florida Blue at America Gardens Theatre, bands in this year’s lineup include Yellowcard, The Wanted, and David Archuletta, to house favorites like Hanson, Tiffany, and Boyz II Men.

Disney Springs

  • Goofy’s Candy Co., The Ganachery and Amorette’s Patisserie are among the different locations where guests can indulge in seasonal treats.
  • At the World of Disney store, shoppers can discover a spine-chilling range of Disney-themed Halloween must-haves.
  • The acapella group Squad Ghouls will be performing every Saturday in October at AdventHealth Waterside Stage.
  • Zombie Drummers and Skeleton Stiltwalkers will roam Town Center every Friday, Saturday and Sunday in October.

Disney Wine & Dine Half-Marathon Weekend

2024 Wine & Dine Half Marathon Weekend (runDisney)

The Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon Weekend is celebrating its 15th anniversary.

Thousands of runners will participate in the 5K, 10K, half marathon, Disney Two Course Challenge (10K and half marathon) and the Post-Race Party at Walt Disney World Resort.

At last check, all the races were sold out, but tickets are still available for Post-Race Party.
